Title:
VEHICLE TIRE HAVING IMPROVED BEAD PART STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH061123
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make two types of performance such as easy rim assembling and rim slippage prevention which generally do not coexist with each other, compatible with each other by restricting the difference between the diameter of a rim and that of a bead heel in the range from -0.14mm to 0.70mm and the taper angle to a bead head from the bead heel relative to a horizontal plane in a range from 15° to 16°.

CONSTITUTION: The difference between the diameter (b) of the rim and the diameter (c) of a bead heel in a tire for a vehicle having an engine power of at least 500 HP or more is restricted in a range from -0.14mm to 0.70mm. In addition, the taper angle to the head of the bead 2 from the bead heel 2a in a range from 15° to 16°. This constitution facilitates assembling of a rim 1 and prevents the rim 1 from slipping, resulting in the improvement of tire performance.
