Abstract:
To suppress movement of water of relatively high temperature to an upstream side of a water supply passage in a water injection valve, in an engine including the water injection valve.SOLUTION: A water injection valve 69 has a water supply passage 72 formed in a state of being extended along a cylinder axial direction of a first case 71, and a nozzle portion 75 for injecting water into a combustion chamber of an engine. A part near the nozzle portion 75, of the water supply passage 72 is expanded radially outward so that a flow channel cross-sectional area of the part near the nozzle portion 75, is larger than the other part, and a retention portion 76 where a part of the water in the water supply passage 72 is retained, is formed, and a step portion 77 for suppressing flowing of the water in the retention portion 76 toward an upstream side with respect to the retention portion 76 is formed on an end portion at a side opposite to the nozzle portion 75 in the cylindrical axial direction, in the retention portion 76.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
