Abstract:
To provide an engine which can inhibit dust from reaching an oil seal even if the oil seal is exposed to the outside.SOLUTION: An engine includes: a flywheel housing 3 integrally formed with an engine body 2 and having an insertion hole 21 into which a crank shaft 13 of the engine body 2 is inserted; an oil seal 4 being provided between the crank shaft 13 and the insertion hole 21 and sealing oil in the engine body 2; and a flywheel 5 being housed in the flywheel housing 3 and connected to the crank shaft 13. The flywheel 5 is formed with an introduction passage 50 which guides outer air into a gap S1 between the flywheel housing 3 and the flywheel 5. Multiple blades 60 which are aligned in a circumferential direction of the flywheel 5 and cause the outer air introduced into the gap S1 to flow to a radial outer side of the flywheel 5 in the gap S1 are formed on a surface of the flywheel 5 which faces an inner surface of the flywheel housing 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
