Title:
The fiber optic cable provided with an optical connector and it
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6234040
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency of a process of cooling an optical fiber core wire by cooling a housing.SOLUTION: An optical connector has a cylindrical housing 10 and a cylindrical sleeve chuck 30. The housing 10 has a chuck accommodating bore 16 which is for accommodating the sleeve chuck 30 and is formed to have an open rear end and a front end side portion 16c whose inner diameter decreases toward the front end side. The sleeve chuck 30 is put into the chuck accommodating bore 16 of the housing 10 and an optical fiber core wire 90 is inserted from the rear end side thereof, which causes a front end side portion 31 of the sleeve chuck 30 to move toward the front end side and get caught by the front end side portion 16c of the chuck accommodating bore 16, by which the optical fiber core wire 90 is swaged and held. The optical fiber core wire 90 is thus secured to the housing 10.
