Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of an chrominance alias signal in the process of processing a picture signal obtained from a solid state image pickup element mounting a mosaic type color filter.
SOLUTION: This device generates color component data RG(n) and BG(n) by allowing a subtraction circuit 21 to subtract color component data G(n) expressing component G from color component data R(n) and B(n) expressing components R and B one of which is generated by line interpolation processing. The device allows a chrominance signal suppressing circuit 22 to suppress one of these color component data RG(n) and BG(n) in response to suppress control signal CSa/CSb supplied from a suppress control circuit 24 and after then allows a color difference operation circuit 23 to obtain color difference data RY(n) and BY(n).
