Abstract:
To suppress partial deterioration progress of a cathode catalyst layer at the time of starting a fuel battery.SOLUTION: A fuel battery system comprises: a first to third manifolds penetrating a plurality of cells of a fuel battery stack. A fuel gas tank is connected on the upstream side of the first manifold through a valve. A fuel gas exhaust port is connected on the downstream side of the first manifold through a valve. The fuel gas exhaust port is connected on the downstream side of the second manifold through a valve. The fuel gas tank is connected on the upstream side of the third manifold through a valve. Each cell includes a separator 32 comprising: a first and second openings A1, A2 constituting parts of the first and second manifolds, respectively; a plurality of fuel gas passages C1 to C6 that connect the first and second openings and have different passage lengths; a third opening A3 constituting a part of the third manifold; and a connection passage C7 that connects midway parts of the respective fuel gas passages to the third opening in a descending order of passage length and has cross sectional area reduced as the fuel gas passages are connected in this order.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
