Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass fiber sheet for a lead storage battery separator, which is equivalent to a sheet arranged by imparting, as a physical property, an appropriate strength to a conventional sheet including chiefly glass fiber, and which is smaller in the variation in electrolytic solution permeability.SOLUTION: A glass fiber sheet for a seal type lead battery separator according to the present invention comprises: glass wool; and a heat-melting binder fiber having a fiber diameter of 14 μm or less and a fiber length of 2-10 mm. The mass proportion of the glass wool and the heat-melting binder fiber is 96/4 to 88/12. The total mass of the glass wool and the heat-melting binder fiber is 80-100% to the total mass. The mass of the heat-melting binder fiber accounts for 4-12% of the total mass.SELECTED DRAWING: None
