To enhance β-glucosidase activity of bacteria having β-glucosidase activity so as to promote absorption of useful components such as phytochemicals contained in glycosides.SOLUTION: The invention provides: a β-glucosidase activity enhancer for bacteria having β-glucosidase activity, which contains as an active ingredient a disaccharide of glucose and fructose that are β-bonded; a method for producing an aglycon-containing composition using the β-glucosidase activity enhancer; an absorption promoter for aglycons in glycosides; and food and drink products.SELECTED DRAWING: None
