Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit a centering work of coinciding a center line of a base shaft portion with a rotation axis of a workpiece.SOLUTION: A method for grinding a workpiece for grinding an outer peripheral portion of an eccentric shaft portion in a workpiece 10 includes: a first master bar measurement step of holding a first master bar 21 having a known outer diameter din a V receiving chuck 110 and measuring an eccentric distance aof the first master bar 21 to a rotation axis Lof the workpiece 10, prior to grinding of the outer peripheral portion of the eccentric shaft portion; and a base shaft portion eccentric distance calculation step of calculating an eccentric distance aof a base shaft portion 11 to a shaft Lbased on an outer diameter dof the base shaft portion 11, an outer diameter dof the first master bar 21, and the eccentric distance ameasured in the first master bar measurement step. When the outer peripheral portion of the eccentric shaft portion is ground, a grinding wheel is configured to periodically move forward and backward according to the eccentric distance acalculated in the base shaft portion eccentric distance calculation step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
