Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a cured-film-forming composition suitable for forming a cured film that exhibits lasting adhesiveness and excellent liquid-crystal alignment performance, to provide an alignment material, and to use said alignment material to provide a phase-difference material. [Solution] This cured-film-forming composition contains the following: (A) a compound that has a photo-alignment group and either a hydroxy group, a carboxyl group, an amino group, or an alkoxysilyl group; (B) a polymer that has a hydroxy group and/or a carboxyl group; and (C) a compound other than component (A) that has a hydroxy group and a (meth)acrylic group. Said cured-film-forming composition is used to form a cured film, and photo-alignment technology is used to form an alignment material. A polymerizable liquid crystal is applied to the top of said alignment material and cured, yielding a phase-difference material.
