Abstract:
To provide a head gasket capable of inhibiting a phenomenon that a rubber coat layer flows from a gasket substrate even if heat expansion of a cylinder block occurs.SOLUTION: A head gasket 1 is disposed sandwiched between a cylinder head 101 and a cylinder block 102. The head gasket 1 includes: a substrate 10 having a hole 10H that allows at least one of water and oil to pass therethrough; a first rubber coat layer 21 formed on one surface 11 of the substrate 10; and a second rubber coat layer 22 formed on the other surface 12 of the substrate 10. The substrate 10 has protruding parts 31, 32, 33 which are provided at an outer peripheral edge part of the hole 10H and an inner peripheral edge part of the hole 10H and protrude to at least one of the cylinder head 101 and the cylinder block 102 in a state where the head gasket 1 is sandwiched between the cylinder head 101 and the cylinder block 102.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
