To provide a heat pump system enabling reduction of operational cost.SOLUTION: In a heat pump system 1A, seawater 91 that is water containing impurities includes mineral components that are impurities. An RO module 102 uses the seawater 91 to produce fresh water 92 in which a concentration of mineral components is smaller than that in the seawater 91 and concentrated water 93 in which a concentration of mineral components is larger than that in the seawater 91. A fresh water storage part 804 stores the fresh water 92. A heat exchange part 30 collects heat from first fresh water 921 to warm second fresh water 922. Hot water 95 obtained by warming the second fresh water 922 in the heat exchange part 30 is stored in a hot water storage tank 110. Cold water 94 obtained by cooling the first fresh water 921 by collecting heat from the first fresh water 921 in the heat exchange part 30 is stored in a cold water storage part 805.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
