Abstract:
To improve durability of a heater.SOLUTION: A heater 10 comprises: a ceramic body 1 that has a rod shape and has a leading end and a rear end; a heat element 2 that is embedded in the ceramic body 1; a metallized member 3 that is provided on a surface of the ceramic body 1 at a portion from which the heat element 2 is pulled out; a cylindrical metal fitting 4 that is provided to surround the ceramic body 1 together with the metallized member 3; and a joint material 5 that joins the cylindrical metal fitting 4 to the ceramic body 1. The cylindrical metal fitting 4 has a first portion 41 surrounding the portion from which the heat element 2 is pulled out, and a second portion 42 provided toward the leading end relative to the first portion 41; the first portion 41 is thinner than the second portion 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
