Title:
ELECTROLYTIC IN-PROCESS DRESSING METHOD AND DEVICE THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0615568
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an electrolytic in-process dressing grinding method and device, capable of improving the extent of grinding wheel life by way of applying such an electrolysis as commensurate to the sidepiece and bottom face of an abrasive-grain layer according to an infeed speed ratio.

CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with two electrodes 6 and 7 impressing an electric current to the sidepiece of an abrasive-grain layer of a cuplike conductive grinding wheel 1, another electrode 8 impressing the current to a bottom face of this wheel 1, and a means varying each current value being impressed to these electrodes, and as for the method, an infeed rate by the sidepiece of the abrasive-grain layer of the wheel 1 is compared with that by the bottom face of the grain layer of the wheel 1, and according to this comparison, the current value to be impressed on the electrode electrolyzing the grain layer at the side being large in the infeed rate is made larger but the current value to be impressed to other electrodes is made smaller.
