Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for producing hydrogen by decomposing ammonia, which enables hydrogen to be obtained in high yield by decomposing ammonia, and also can suppress heat of abnormal oxidation by contamination of air at an abnormal time.SOLUTION: Provided is a catalyst for hydrogen production by decomposing ammonia, which comprises a catalyst component supported on a honeycomb molded body. The catalyst component comprises a catalytic active component and a heat-resistant oxide. The catalytic active component is at least one element selected from iron, cobalt, and nickel, and an amount of the catalytic active component supported is 20 to 80 g per 1 liter of the honeycomb molded body.
