PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for achieving both of a dust-proof and heat radiation of optical components.SOLUTION: A 1/4 wavelength plate 239 is configured to mutually exchange a linear polarization and circular polarization, and the 1/4 wavelength plate 239 is attached to a metal-made aperture mask 270 so as to entirely cover one face side of a first aperture part defining an irradiation area of the circular polarization transmitting the 1/4 wavelength plate 239. A printed substrate 250 comprises an image display element 240 that reflects the circular polarization passing through the aperture mask 270 to create image display light on the basis of an image signal. An attachment base 260 comprises a second aperture part, and the aperture mask 270 is attached so as to entirely cover a first face side of the second aperture part. The printed substrate 250 causes the image display element 240 to be positioned in the second aperture part, and is attached so as to entirely cover a second face side of the second aperture part. The printed substrate 250 has a metal layer provided in an area in contact with the attachment base 260 of the area of a substrate surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
