PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent the necessity of an input of identification information for identifying a user every time indicating that a user is authenticated.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an operation part that receives an input of identification information for identifying a user; a determination part that determines whether the identification information received by the operation part is valid; and an image forming part that, when the determination part determines that the identification information is valid, prints, on a recording medium, an authentication image having embedded therein term information indicating a term of validity and authentication information indicating that the user is authenticated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
