Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display function allocation in response to mouse operation or the like in a touch-disabled area on a touch-enabled operation screen, thereby efficiently utilizing the operation screen.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an operation display section (touch panel LCD 140A) which displays an operation screen where touch panel operation and operations other than that are enabled; an input section for inputting an operation other than the touch panel operation; and a control section which controls the operation display section and the input section. The control section forms a touch operation detection area where the touch panel operation is detected and an other-operation input detection area (hardware key pop-up mark 1431) which is located outside the touch operation detection area and allows operations other than the touch panel operation to be detected, on the operation screen. When an operation is performed on the other-operation input detection area by the input section or through a terminal operation screen displayed on another terminal over a network in accordance with the operation screen, function allocation is displayed on the operation screen in accordance with the operation on the other-operation input detection area.
