Abstract:
To stabilize the image density of a print image from immediately after the start of printing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is provided with: a developing device 5Y that is provided with a conveying screw 55Y (stirring member) stirring developer G stored in the device, and develops a latent image formed on a surface of a photoreceptor drum 1Y (image carrier); and a fixing device 80 that fixes an unfixed toner image transferred onto a sheet P. In a start-up operation of an apparatus 100 executed before the start of printing upon receiving a command for starting printing, a warm-up operation of the fixing device 80 is started, and during the warm-up operation, stirring of the developer G stored inside the developing device 5Y is started by the conveying screw 55Y.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
