Abstract:

To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent generation of a streak-like charging unevenness image caused by ununiformity in charging of an electrophotographic photoreceptor due to discharge abnormality, so as to form high-quality images for a long period.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises at least an electrophotographic photoreceptor, charging means, exposure means, developing means, transfer means, fixing means, and cleaning means, wherein the electrophotographic photoreceptor includes at least a lamination type photosensitive layer in which a charge generating layer containing a charge generating material and a charge transport layer containing a charge transport material are laminated in this order on a substrate, the charge generating layer contains an oxotitanyl phthalocyanine compound as the charge generating material and has a film thickness of 0.3 to 1.5 μm, and the charging means is of a DC charging system for charging the electrophotographic photoreceptor in direct contact therewith.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
