Abstract:
To improve usability when a manual staple mode is released without a recording material is inserted to the position of a sensor and a recording material is left intact in a processing tray.SOLUTION: An image forming system of the present invention comprises image forming means, a processing tray, detection means, a staple unit, ejection means, an ejection tray, control means capable of switching between a first mode and a second mode, and switching means for switching the operation mode of the control means to the second mode. When a recording material is not detected by the detection means even when a prescribed time elapses after the operation mode is switched to the second mode by the switching mode, the control means causes an ejection operation for ejecting the recording material inserted into the processing tray to the ejection tray by the ejection means to be executed without causing the staple process by the staple unit to be executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
