Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and an image processing method that can perform positioning with high precision even when a required predetermined number of motion vectors cannot be detected from an image to calculate a geometric conversion coefficient used for image positioning.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes an acquisition unit for acquiring distance information indicating the distance from an imaging position for each area of each image, classification means for classifying regions of each image into groups according to the distance information, detection means for detecting a motion vector between images for each group, and coefficient calculation means for calculating a conversion coefficient used for geometric conversion based on the motion vector. The coefficient calculating means includes first coefficient calculating means for calculating a first conversion coefficient based on the detected motion vector for a group in which the number of detected motion vectors is larger than a predetermined number, and second coefficient calculating means for calculating a second conversion coefficient based on the first conversion coefficient and the distance information for a group in which the number of detected motion vectors is smaller than the predetermined number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
