Abstract:
To provide an image projection device with which, while suppressing a decrease in the efficiency of using a laser beam, it is possible to smoothly and appropriately suppress a color irregularity of a projection image.SOLUTION: An image projection device 1 comprises: light sources 11-13 for emitting a laser beam in different color; display elements 31a, 31b for modulating the laser beams in respective colors by a video signal; an illumination optical system 20 for guiding the laser beams from the light sources 11-13 to the display elements 31a, 31b; and a projection lens 51 for projecting the laser beams modulated by the display elements 31a, 31b. The illumination optical system 20 includes a first train of optical elements for equalizing the intensity distribution of one laser beam and guiding to the display element 31a (fly-eye lens 22a, cylindrical lens array 24a, diffuser panel 25a, field lens 26a), and a second train of optical elements for equalizing the intensity distribution of the other laser beams and guiding to the display element 31b (fly-eye lens 22b, cylindrical lens array 24b, diffuser panel 25b, field lens 26b).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
