Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of moving a CIS linearly and smoothly, and preventing the occurrence of paper jam.SOLUTION: An image reading device is configured to convey a document from a document mounting glass 43 to a leading edge of a single glass G via a document reading glass 42; and an edge 47b of a document guide unit 47 is arranged below an upper face of the document reading glass 42. Accordingly, a leading edge of a document does not get caught by the edge 47b of the document guide unit 47, which prevents the occurrence of paper jam.
