Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring screen on which at least one of the portion of subjects being closer than a shortest photographing distance and the portion of the other subjects is emphasized and displayed, which enables a user to easily grasp subjects which can be focused on.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: imaging means for imaging a subject; display means for displaying image data obtained by processing image data outputted from the imaging means; and distance measurement means for measuring a subject distance to the subject. The display means displays the image data on a monitoring screen 200 such that a first area in the image data in which the subject distance is shorter than the shortest photographing distance can be distinguished from a second area other than the first area.
