Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can construct an intended composite image while responding flexibly to changes in brightness, when acquiring a subject image at a prescribed time interval.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes acquisition means for acquiring image data at a prescribed time interval, a memory area for storing image data for update, and image processing means for comparing each pixel of current image data for update, out of the image data for update acquired at a prescribed time interval, and a composite image data during acquisition, and replacing the brightness data stored in a pixel of the memory area by the data of larger brightness. The image processing means determines the average value of brightness as the initial image data when the image data for update being stored in the memory area is the initial image data, determines the average value of brightness as the image data for update when the image data for update is the second or subsequent image data, and changes the content of replacement depending on the fact whether the difference of average value of brightness between both image data is larger or smaller than a threshold M.
