Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress generation of solvent cracks without losing excellent electrophotographic characteristics by incorporating a charge transfer material having ≥0.6eV oxidization potential and specified copolymers into a charge transfer layer.
CONSTITUTION: The charge transfer layer contains a charge transfer material having ≥0.6eV oxidization potential and a copolymer comprising structural units expressed by formula I and formula II. The structural unit expressed by formula II is incorporated by 0.1-50wt.% to the total weight of the copolymer. In formula I, A is a straight, branched, or cyclic alkylidene group, aryl-substd. alkylidene group, etc., having 1-10 carbon number or -O-, -S-, etc., R1-R4 are hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms, or alkyl groups or alkenyl groups of 1-4 carbon number. In formula II, R5 is an alkylene group or alkylidene group of 2-6 carbon number, R6 and R7 are alkyl groups, phenyl groups or substd. phenyl groups of 1-3 carbon number, and n is an integer 1-200.
