Abstract:
To provide an inductive load drive unit which can drive an inductive load with high reliability even if the power consumption of a power supply voltage becomes large when a starter switch is turned on.SOLUTION: A boost control part 15a creates a boost voltage Vboost of a battery voltage VB in a charging capacitor 13a by carrying a boost current reaching a boost current threshold to the charging capacitor 13a at a normal time on condition that a voltage of the charging capacitor 13a is lowered to a prescribed threshold voltage. In an on-period of a starter switch for activating a vehicle, and also in a period for satisfying a period in which constant current drive is performed by a drive circuit 16, the boost control part 15a performs boost control in a state where the boost current threshold at the creation of the boost voltage Vboost is changed to the boost current threshold which is different from that at a normal time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
