Abstract:
To enable a recording medium to be heated at a position closer to an upstream than a platen and remove static electricity that may be generated in the recording medium.SOLUTION: A printer 10 comprises: a base member 40; a tabular platen 16 on which a recording medium 5 is placed; a first guide member 61, arranged closer to an upstream in a sub-scanning direction X than the platen 16 and connected to the platen 16, which guides movement of the recording medium 5; a second guide member 71, arranged closer to the upstream in the sub-scanning direction X than the first guide member 61 and connected to the first guide member 61 and the base member 40, which guides movement of the recording medium 5; and a heater 19, arranged on a rear surface 16B of the platen 16, which heats the platen 16. Thermal conductivity of the first guide member 61 is higher than thermal conductivity of the second guide member 71, and electrical conductivity of the second guide member 71 is higher than electrical conductivity of the first guide member 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
