Abstract:
To provide an inkjet printing device that can remove ink in a gap between a nozzle guard and an ink discharge surface of an inkjet head.SOLUTION: The inkjet printing device comprises: an inkjet head 31 that has a nozzle row in which a plurality of nozzles for discharging ink are arranged and a nozzle guard, whose portion corresponding to the nozzle row is opened, which is provided through a gap onto an ink discharge surface of the nozzle row; an ink removing part 29 that performs ink-removal operation of removing ink adhering to the ink discharge surface by pressing an absorption member for absorbing ink against the opening of the nozzle guard and the ink discharge surface of the inkjet head; and a control part that controls the inkjet head 31 and the ink removing part 29. The control part makes the inkjet head 31 discharge ink by predetermined pressure to perform a purge and makes the ink removing part 29 perform the ink removal operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 19
