Abstract:
To provide an iron capable of continuously jetting steam from a jetting hole even when the iron is erected so that an iron body is in a vertical posture.SOLUTION: An iron body 1 includes: a tank assembly 13 for storing water W; a vaporization chamber 8 for vaporizing the water W which has flowed out from a drip port 47 which becomes a flow-out port of the tank assembly 13; and a metal base 4 having a jetting hole 9 for steam on an ironing surface 73. An iron heats the vaporization chamber 8 together with the base 4, and steam generated in the vaporization chamber 8 is jetted from the jetting hole 9. A swollen part 101 is formed in the tank assembly 13 in such a manner that, when the iron body 1 is in a vertical posture, a liquid level WS in the tank assembly 13 when a tank is full is at a position higher than the drip port 47, and the drip port 47 comes into a submerged state of being immersed in the water W.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
