Abstract:
To provide a label printer etc. with which work stability and operation stability at the time of maintenance are realized without stopping a main power supply of a label adhering device by performing power supply control of a printing mechanism part etc. at the time of maintenance, and recovery time after maintenance is short.SOLUTION: A label printer includes: a main power supply part; a printing mechanism part generating printed labels; stop instruction detecting means for detecting stop instructions to stop the printing mechanism part; a main control part of the label printer; and a power supply control part for controlling power supply from the main power supply part to the printing mechanism part and the main control part. The printing mechanism part includes: a print head for printing on labels; and a contact/separation operation part for contacting and separating a platen roller provided at a position facing the print head. When the stop instruction detecting means detects the separation between the print head and the platen roller by the contact/separation operation part, the power supply control part performs control to stop or suppress the power supply to the printing mechanism part in a state where power is supplied from the main power supply part to the main control part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
