To provide a lighting device capable of restraining change in the lightness of multiple images, captured continuously by an imaging apparatus, even on the lighting control lower limit side, when having a constant current circuit and a lighting control circuit.SOLUTION: A lighting device includes: an output part for connection with a lamp; a constant current circuit having an inductor and a first switching element for controlling a current flowing through the inductor, and controlling so that the current value of DC current becomes constant, by switching of the first switching element; a lighting control circuit having a second switching element for connection in parallel with the lamp, and performing lighting control of the light irradiated with from the lamp, by switching the second switching element in response to a lighting control signal inputted externally; and a load adjustment section for increasing the load of a path, through which a DC current flows to the second switching element, compared with a state where the second switching element is short-circuited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
