To provide a lighting apparatus which can illuminate a large area at the time of use and does not become obstructive at the time of non-use.
Since a plurality of surface light-emitting members 21 are arranged on an identical surface, a surface light-emitting member of a large area can be formed. Furthermore, the surface light-emitting members 20 are laminated in plural numbers, and each surface light-emitting member 20 slides along the surface direction and extends in nearly step-wise, thereby, a light-emitting part 30 of a large area can be obtained, and as it is supported by a support part 40, it can be used as a lighting apparatus of desk lamp type. Further, at the time of non-use, the surface light-emitting members 20 to form the light-emitting part 30 are housed in lamination state so as not to be obstructive.
