Abstract:
To provide a liquid discharge device which is applicable to a large size medium and increases drying performance of liquid ink.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device comprises: a liquid discharge head for discharging liquid to a medium; a carriage equipped with the liquid discharge head; a guide rail which supports the carriage in such a manner that the carriage can be slid in a main scanning direction with respect to the medium; a rail holding part which supports the guide rail in such a manner that the guide rail can be moved in a sub-scanning direction; a first drying part which is mounted on the carriage and blows air in the direction in which the liquid is discharged; and a second drying part which is mounted on the guide rail and blows air in the direction in which the liquid is discharged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
