Abstract:
To provide a stacking device capable of reducing user's labor while suppressing reduction in productivity.SOLUTION: A stacking device 5 comprises: a housing 40; a first tray 70 which is arranged in an internal region of the housing 40 and on which recording media P are stacked; a second tray 80 which can be stored in the internal region of the housing 40 and is discharged to the outside of the housing 40 when the recording media P stacked on the first tray 70 is transferred to a next process at a printed matter delivery position; and a control unit which controls a position of the first tray 70. When the second tray 80 is not present in the internal region of the housing 40, the control unit controls a tray stop position for stopping the first tray 70 at a tray standby position out of the printed matter delivery position and the tray standby position where the first tray 70 on standby is to be positioned. The tray standby position is set outside a tray storage region of the second tray 80 among the internal regions of the housing 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
