Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire manufacturing technique capable of sufficiently reducing generation of CR/CH or BL/R and preventing bead blowing-out without prolonging cycle time in crimping of a low cover formed by a strip-winding method.SOLUTION: The low cover crimping device that crimps tire members constituting a low cover formed by a strip-winding method is configured such that an appearance inspection device for inspecting the appearance of the low cover is provided with a pair of rollers arranged oppositely to each other so as to hold the low cover therebetween and a moving mechanism for bringing each of the pair of rollers close to or away from the inner surface and the outer surface of the low cover, and the tire members constituting the low cover are crimped by rotating the low cover in a state where the pair of rollers hold the low cover from both of the inner side and the outer side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
