Abstract:
To provide a monitoring system of a machine tool capable of enhancing prediction accuracy of a tool wear amount even in the machine tool in which an acceleration sensor cannot be installed.SOLUTION: A monitoring system of a machine tool performs position control of a tool by a drive section of each axis including inverters and motors arranged on three axes orthogonal to each other and includes the drive sections having the inverters and motors for controlling a main axis for rotating a tool or a material to be cut. The monitoring system includes: detection means of electric signals which can extract a DC amount of the drive section of each axis; DC amount conversion means which obtains the DC amount by performing DC amount conversion of each detection value of the electric signals; a temperature/stress information extraction section which extracts temperature information from the DC amount of the drive section of the main axis and extracts stress information from the DC amount of the drive section of the axes other than the main axis; and a wear amount estimation section which estimates a wear amount of the tool on the basis of temperature information and stress information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
