Abstract:
A method for producing a conductive mayenite compound, which is characterized by comprising: (1) a step wherein a mayenite compound powder is prepared; and (2) a step wherein a material to be processed, which contains the mayenite compound powder prepared in the step (1), is arranged so as not to be in contact with a titanium source in the presence of a carbon monoxide gas and titanium vapor supplied from the titanium source and the material to be processed is maintained at a temperature within the range from 1,230°C to 1,380°C in an inert gas atmosphere other than a nitrogen atmosphere or in a reduced pressure environment.
