Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell stack excellent in seal reliability by a gasket and a manufacturing method for the same.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method for a fuel cell stack 21 where on both surfaces of a membrane electrode assembly 11, a plurality of layers of a single cell 1 provided with a separator 14 via gaskets 18, 19, there are provided: a step for preparing a plurality of separators 14 where first engagement parts 146 are formed on both surfaces respectively, a plurality of gaskets 18 having second engagement parts engaged with the first engagement parts, and a plurality of membrane electrode assembly 11 including an electrolyte membrane and a catalyst layer; a step at which the second engagement part of one of the gaskets is engaged with the first engagement part in one direction of one of the separators 14 and temporary fixing or regular fixing is performed; a step at which to temporarily fix or regularly fix one membrane electrode assembly in one direction of one of the separators; a step at which to engage the second engagement part of the other gasket with the first engagement part in another direction of one of the separators; a step at which to laminate a plurality of cell sub-assemblies 21 obtained by performing the above steps more than once.
