Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a functional polyester continuous fiber nonwoven fabric attached solidly with a functional agent on a fiber surface.SOLUTION: A nonwoven fabric is constituted by a polyester continuous fiber having a shape (hereinafter referred to "approximately Y4 shape") expressed by figure 2 obtained by connecting approximately Y letters in cross sectional view at lower ends thereof by the upside, downside, left side and right side. A functional agent is deposited in a concavity 2 having a cross sectional shape of the approximately Y4 shape by a method including: immersing the nonwoven fabric in a solution dispersed or dissolved with the functional agent; thereafter squeezing; and drying, thereby the functional agent is not easily exfoliated as the functional agent is deposited in the concavity 2, and the functional polyester continuous fiber nonwoven fabric has a long life. In the method for producing a functional polyester continuous fiber nonwoven fabric, the solution does not contain a binder, but contains one or more selected from the group consisting of a functional agent, a deodorizer, an antibacterial agent, an insecticide, and an antifungal agent. In the method for producing a functional polyester continuous fiber nonwoven fabric, the functional agent comprises an inorganic fine particle, and the fiber has a fineness of not less than 10 dtex.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
