Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-treated hollow metallic member excellent in chemical conversion treatability by preventing the sticking of a thermally decomposed product generated from an oil component to the inside face of a product after heat treatment and also eliminating deterioration in chemical conversion treatability caused by the thermally decomposed product stuck to the inside face of an un-heated member.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a heat-treated hollow metallic member, while relatively moving a heating device and a cooling device to a hollow metallic member, locally heating a hollow metallic member by the heating device, then cooling the same by the cooling device and performing heat treatment. A gas is made to flow inside the hollow metallic member at 0.1 m/s or higher from the tip part in the relative feeding direction of the hollow metallic member to the heating device and the cooling device toward the rear end part.SELECTED DRAWING: None
