Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing reduced iron by efficiently reducing an agglomerated product including an iron oxide-containing substance and a carbonaceous reducing substance, and a production device therefor.SOLUTION: An agglomerated product including an iron oxide-containing substance and a carbonaceous reducing substance is heated at 100 to 660°C by a high frequency heating coil 8, and thereafter, the agglomerated product is heated at 1,000 to 1,400°C in a reducing furnace 9.
