Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an improved polyimide foam capable of producing a large-sized polyimide foam in a state of homogeneous cells without causing cracking.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a polyimide foam which comprises a step of heating and foaming a polyimide precursor powder composed of an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid diester component and an aromatic diamine component, where the method comprises a step of filling the polyimide precursor powder into a molding frame and rubbing and cutting the top surface and does not comprise a step of vibrating the polyimide precursor powder filled into the molding frame to increase the bulk density.SELECTED DRAWING: None
