Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing stainless steel in which slag boil generated when melted alloy molten metal and slag are poured into a ladle.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing stainless steel characterized in that, upon production of stainless steel, alloy molten metal and slag are melted by an electric furnace, and the alloy molten metal and slag are tapped from the electric furnace to a ladle, the alloy molten metal is adjusted to C:1 to 4% and Si: 0.1 to 1%, the slag component is adjusted to (CaO+SiO): 60 to 80%, basicity (CaO/SiO) is adjusted to 0.5 to 1.2 and MgO is adjusted to 10 to 30%.
