Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map creation device, etc., with which it is possible to create a map along a road that makes intuitive grasping of topography easy and the perspicuity of which is improved.SOLUTION: A map creation device B is configured by having: an individual image generation unit 8 for joining photographed images 3 with each other in a continuous direction on the basis of path points 4 set in the photographed images 3, photographed position/bearing information, and a three-dimensional model 5 of a photographing object, virtually changing a photographing direction to the photographing object, and performing absolute orientation, thereby generating a mosaic image 6 in a vertical photographing direction that is absolutely orientated and a mosaic image 7 in a set of horizontal photographing directions about scenes 2 on both sides of a road; and an expanded image generation unit 10 for joining and pasting, at positions corresponding to both sides of the road of the mosaic image 6 in the vertical photographing direction, each of the mosaic images 7 in the horizontal photographing directions together on the same plane, the positions being referenced as the lower ends of the images, and creating a photographic map 9 close an expansion plan.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
