Abstract:
To provide a medium discharge device, which is configured so as to suppress a tip regulating part from contacting an upper surface of a medium, when the tip regulating part that regulates a position of a tip in a discharging direction of the medium moves between a regulating position and a receding position.SOLUTION: A medium discharge device 30 comprises: a loading base 31 on which a medium M is loaded; an end fence 34, one example of a tip regulating part that moves between a regulating position P2 at which a position of a tip in a discharging direction A of the medium M that is discharged toward the loading base 31 is regulated and a receding position P1 receding from the regulating position P2; and a control part 38a that controls the end fence 34 so that the end fence performs tip-regulating operation by which the end fence moves from the receding position P1 to the regulating position P2 and moves from the regulating position P2 to the receding position P1, with the end fence 34 not contacting an upper surface Ma of the medium M and controls the end fence 34 so that the end fence does not perform the tip-regulating operation, with the end fence 34 contacting the upper surface Ma of the medium M.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5D
