Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a medical instrument that is capable of protecting a medical device inserted into a blood vessel of a patient's hand from damage in a procedure in which the medical device is inserted into the blood vessel from the back of the hand, and enables smooth progress of the procedure. [Solution] This medical instrument 100 has: a first placement unit 110 on which the palm Hp of a patient's hand H is placed; a second placement part 120 on which the forearm of the patient is placed; a first securing unit 130 that is disposed on the first placement part and secures the hand of the patient; a second securing part 140 that is disposed on the second placement part and secures the forearm of the patient; and a connection unit 150 that connects the first placement unit and the second placement unit and is able to change the orientation of the second placement unit relative to the first placement unit.
