Abstract:
The method involves utilizing a hydraulic fine-blanking press (22) having a three-stage progressive die. A blank is partially cut in a metal-foil strip (16) having a surface structure for a flow field. The surface structure is formed in a connected blank via compression-forming by utilizing a forming force of about 2500 to 3500 kN. An inner mold, slots and reference geometry are formed by cutting the blank. An outer contour is cut, and the finished blank for the bipolar plate is removed successively in a stroke cycle. An independent claim is also included for a bipolar plate producing device.
