PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating an acceleration structure and a device therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for generating an acceleration structure which is used for ray tracking for: generating a linear code indicating a position of each of plural primitives included in a three-dimensional space; aligning the plural primitives based on the generated linear codes; determining a size change ratio of a bounding box while inputting the aligned plural primitives in the bounding box sequentially; selecting any one out of the plural primitives aligned based on the size change ratio of the bounding box; and classifying the plural aligned primitives into plural bounding boxes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
